Over the past 5 years as Summerfield based Wedding Videographers, we’ve definitely been to some stunning venues in the Triad, and over 50 venues all over. The options are truly endless from barns with rustic charm to newly renovated mills to timeless country clubs; no matter where you envision yourself walking down the aisle, there is a space that is perfect for you! Simply googling “best wedding venues near me” might not get you the results or details that you are looking for, so we’ve decided to curate a list of eleven of our favorite venues that we have filmed in the Piedmont Triad.
Cadillac Service Garage // Greensboro, NC
Starting with the venue where Tyler and Kasey got married in January of 2019, Cadillac Service Garage is an upscale industrial loft venue in the heart of Downtown Greensboro, NC. Anyone that steps foot onto the black and white checkered floors through the doors of the service garage can instantly feel the charm and personality that lies within the walls of this beautifully restored space. The large 1000 square foot, brightly lit bridal suite was more than perfect for Kasey to spend the day getting ready with her crew before they headed to Saint Pius X for their ceremony. In the main banquet area, the tables and chairs were included, which was a major stress reliever in terms of rental fees and additional costs. CSG is undoubtedly the most dreamy wedding space in the Piedmont Triad and if you were considering a tour, do yourself a favor and BOOK THAT TOUR!
Summerfield Farms // Summerfield, NC
With various indoor and outdoor spaces among a vast countryside, Summerfield Farms is definitely a great venue choice for those looking for a luxurious rustic scene. The two beautifully renovated barns are both insanely picturesque and are great for both intimate ceremonies as well as larger events up to 1,500 guests. Something awesome to note about Summerfield Farms are the His and Hers dressing spaces which are conveniently separated – which as videographers helps us get some awesome pre-ceremony footage of the bride with her bridesmaids and the groom with his groomsmen without running the risk of the bride and groom seeing each other!
Graylyn Estates // Winston-Salem, NC
For some old-world charm in the most fairytale-like venue, head on over to Graylyn Estates. Amid the expansive 55 acres lie exquisite gardens and historic buildings making this venue an enchanting getaway just outside the hustle and bustle of the city. While the Estate takes you to another period in time on the outside, the inside is modern and comfortable, giving you the best of both worlds. This venue is definitely a unique choice and is the perfect combination for couples that might have differing ideas of what they picture their wedding day to look like.
Board & Batten // Lexington, NC
In an expertly designed space with soaring vaulted ceilings and massive windows, Board & Batten is the perfect choice for an elegant barn wedding. The bridal suite is definitely a highlight of this venue, including a hair and make-up bar, a sitting area with plush couches and chairs, and a mirror perfect for capturing the perfect bridal portrait. With enough tables and chairs for up to 250 guests, this spacious building touched with modern sophistication will be more than perfect for you and all of your loved ones to celebrate your special day. We especially love the fireplace nestled under a beautiful rock wall inside the expansive reception space. If you are looking for a venue with a seamless blend of southern barn and modern industrial elements, Lexington, NC just might be for you.
The McCallister-Leftwich House // Greensboro, NC
Nestled on the edge of Fisher Park Historic District in downtown Greensboro lies a beautifully restored national landmark that has been transformed into an incredible boutique wedding venue. The Mcallister-Leftwich House embodies elegance throughout the entire venue and is suitable for both large crowds as well as more intimate ceremonies. Including both a relaxing bridal suite and comfortable groom’s suite, your entire wedding party will be able to prepare for your big day just steps away from where your ceremony will take place. Every corner of this venue is insanely picturesque, but it is a MUST for all brides to get some photo/video shots in the gorgeous hallway that connects the two houses.
WinMock at Kinderton // Bermuda Run, NC
If you are looking for a grand barn wedding underneath beautiful wooden beams and wrought-iron chandeliers, we recommend checking out Winmock at Kinderton! Located just outside of Winston-Salem in Bermuda Run, Winmock at Kinderton has a few different spaces to accommodate both large parties as well as more intimate settings. Either way you will receive that old-fashioned barn aesthetic that is easily customizable to fit your perfect wedding vision. The loft is the larger space at Winmock that can hold hundreds of guests and is located in the recognizable huge white barn. The granary still provides that rustic wedding feel as it is still in a barn, but on a smaller scale than the loft. When it comes to capturing shots of you getting ready, the separate bride and groom suites are brightly lit and provide a spacious area for the wedding party to enjoy themselves prior to the ceremony.
Millennium Center // Winston-Salem, NC
A family owned full service venue in the heart of downtown Winston-Salem, the Millennium Center can accommodate all types of weddings from more laid-back intimate celebrations to extravagant parties. The building once operated as the City of Winston Post Office in 1906 and housed many other notable federal institutes but was later abandoned in 1992. Over the past 25 years the building has been restored and still exudes elegance with marble floors, crystal chandeliers, and massive high-domed ceilings. The reception space is incredible and definitely spacious enough for a large party!
Adaumont Farm // Trinity, NC
Adaumont Farm is a luxurious private country estate that blends city chic style and rustic North Carolina country elegance. Located just outside of Archdale in Trinity, Adaumont Farm has a beautiful ceremony location overlooking the water and a reception space inside the barn. On-site groom and bridal suites make it easy to capture those fun getting ready shots before your ceremony begins. Fun fact: until 2016, the 400-acre farm was owned by Kyle Petty, former NASCAR driver!
Providence Mill // Maiden, NC
The Providence Cotton Mill located on the outskirts of Maiden, NC is a 130 year-old building surrounded by green fields and a plush forest – giving you a taste of old-world charm along with an inviting outdoor feel! The main banquet area is 10,000 square feet which can be divided for a ceremony and reception, or you may choose to have your ceremony on the lawn in front of the mill. We love the outcome of shots captured using the brick building as a backdrop, the windows on this place are breathtaking!
